Love to be a Rec Rower ….

This program is for those who already know the basics of rowing and want to continue improving their skills and fitness in a casual, non-competitive atmosphere.  

In addition, there are many opportunities for informal social gatherings at the clubhouse after rowing, as well as several formal social events throughout the summer.  At the end of the season, the Head-of-the-Kam Regatta mixes competitive and recreational rowers for an enjoyable in-house competition where the only prize is bragging rights.

Recreational Rowing Program schedule:

May 28 - August 31, 2024

Tuesday & Thursday 7:00 - 9:00 pm; and Saturday 9:00 - 11:00 am

Plus “Fun Fridays” in small boats (singles, doubles, pairs) May 31 - July 26 for the more competent rowers (as evaluated by Coach).

After August 31 rowing may continue well into the fall, weather and volunteers permitting.

Recreational Rowing Punch Card

Punch cards are available for those with previous rowing experience (1 year of competitive or 2 years of recreational rowing.)  This card is ideal for Alumni and those with busy schedules.
